"Popeye" by artist Elzie Segar, this is a 1992 original poster, published and distributed by Graphique de France. It features the iconic cartoon character Popeye. Known for his distinctive spinach-fueled strength, Popeye is depicted in his classic sailor outfit, with his bulging muscles and trademark squint. The design likely captures the playful, vintage charm associated with Popeye, combining bold colors and dynamic artwork typical of early 90s graphic styles. We’re fans of classic animation and collectors of nostalgic pop culture memorabilia so this and Olive Oyl are favorites. I believe when I’m designing this it may be straightforward in the edge-following of Popeye’s figure - perhaps a spinach can cut or attached in there somewhere. Have to think more about it :)
